Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
Since this is the last Snippet of 2012, I wanted to take this opportunity to say, "Thank you!" to all of you. I am so incredibly grateful to our incredible clients, partners, and community.
As some of you may know, I am the Co-Host of the PassPorter Moms Podcast. A few weeks ago on the podcast, I announced the Random Acts of Pixie Dust Project, encouraging our listeners to give of themselves at this time of year in ways both small and large. I had no idea how timely this idea would be.
You see, I live in Connecticut. Our beautiful state has been in the news this past week for an unthinkable tragedy. And we are heartbroken. But at the same time, the people of our state and indeed, the world around us, has shown astonishing compassion, empathy, and kindness for the victims of this event. And just when we thought the world as we knew it was crumbling, people manage to restore your faith in humanity.
From the outpouring of sympathy – cards, emails, vigils, and tributes – to the first responders who flocked to Newtown, to the comfort dogs who came all the way from Chicago to comfort those in need, to the President of the United States, who came to share our grief, we watched as the families drew strength from the offerings. And while no amount of comfort can truly heal their pain, the simple fact of its offering, allows for perhaps an easing of their grief.
So for Christmas this year, I am asking this. Please join our Random Acts of Pixie Dust Project and pass it on. It can be something as small as holding a door for a stranger or remembering to put change in the red kettle of the bell ringer outside your grocery store. It can be grand or it can be simple, but as long as it is kind, I promise you it will make a difference in someone's day. And no one does "kind" better than Disney fans! I have seen that proved over and over by our partners and by our community.
Happy holidays! Be well and make magic wherever you go.
