Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
The holidays are now in full swing at Walt Disney World. The Castle Dream Lights adorn Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom, enormous Christmas Trees welcome guests to each of the theme parks, menorahs wait to be lit to celebrate Chanukah, and the resorts are completely decked out.
One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to visit the different resorts and check out the unique decorations. The Beach Club features a carousel made of chocolate and gingerbread! See if you can find the 13 silver Hidden Mickeys as the carousel actually rotates. Purchase freshly baked gingerbread from the enormous gingerbread house in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. And inspect the carved animal ornaments that adorn the tree at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Another favorite can be found in the World Showcase. Each country hosts a telling of their holiday story throughout the day. Italy's LaBefana, France's Pere Noel, and, of course, the American Santa Claus, all make appearances in their respective countries. But don't forget to stop by Morocco or Norway for some of the lesser known holiday stories!
So if you are in Walt Disney World at this time of year, go slow. There is even MORE to see and do than any other time of year!
Be well and make magic wherever you go!
