Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
It's been a wild few weeks weatherwise here in New England. Superstorm Sandy packed a wallop last week and now we have 4 inches of snow on the ground. The weather can be unpredictable!
This is true for Florida as well! While snow is pretty unlikely (but not impossible!), it can get chilly this time of year. I recommend checking the weather forecasts approximately 10 days prior to your trip. I typically check www.accuweather.com and http://www.orlandosentinel.com/weather/ for updated information. Don't forget to check again a day or two prior to departure!
I recommend packing layers. A sweatshirt or light jacket for mornings or evenings and don't forget to pack real shoes – flip flops aren't enough when the temps are in the 50s! More often than not, I wear capris to the world and my husband wears khakis. They seem to be the perfect compromise – not too hot, not too cold!
But the good news is, Disney will be happy to sell you cold weather wear. As soon as those temps start to drop, the racks of sweatshirts, fleece, hats and gloves come out! I have purchased more than one sweatshirt thanks to an unexpected cold snap. Same goes for ponchos!
But most importantly, don't let inclement weather spoil your fun. Bundle up and get out there!
Be well and make magic wherever you go!
