So what is Secure Flight? This new TSA program’s goal is to decrease the number of passengers whose names are mistaken for those on the government "watch list." So ideally, if your name is James Smith and there happens to be a James Smith on the watch list, the fact that you listed your name as James Edward Smith and your October birthdate on your booking means they will be able to quickly determine that you are not the James Smith on the list whose birthday is in July.
So double check those driver’s licenses and passports! And get in the habit of consistently using one form of ID when you travel. This will help to make for smooth sailing..err, flying… in the future.
