Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
And we continue our dining conversation with today’s FAQ: Which counter service restaurants do you recommend?
Answer: Ahhhh…counter service restaurants. Some consider them a necessary evil at a theme park. Not me! This may sound strange but some of my most anticipated meals of each trip are the counter service meals! Here are my recommendations for each park…
Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe – Great variety, good food, large portions. While the set up can be a bit confusing (there are separate lines for chicken, hamburgers, salads, etc. which can make it difficult if your family is like mine and each person wants something different) but it is worth the trouble. My favorite is the roast chicken with mashed potatoes!
Alternate: Pecos Bill Cafe: This spot offers burgers & more with a fabulous fixins bar to customize to your heart’s content. Cool amd dimly lit, it can be a great respite from a hot day at the MK.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Flatbread Grill – What I love about this eatery is the healthy choices available. The Greek Salad is yummy but myheart belongs to the Chicken Caesar Wrap. Best of all, they offer a kids chicken wrap which is a nice alternative to the ubiquitous chicken fingers.
Tomorrow – my favorite counter service spots at Epcot and Animal Kingdom!
Be well and make magic wherever you go!
