As with most traditional Mardi Gras celebrations, Universal Orlando’s is anchored by a dazzling parade featuring colorful floats. Universal Orlando Resort proudly partners with Kern Studios to bring intricately handcrafted floats to Florida. Kern Studios has famously designed and engineered New Orleans’ Mardi Gras floats since 1932.
This year, keep an eye out during the nightly constellation-themed parade for six brand-new celestial creations that include Taurus, Virgo, Andromeda, and Orion. Get ready to catch countless beads as they roll through the streets of Universal Studios, surrounded by festive krewes of colorful dancers and performers.
For hundreds of years, Mardi Gras has been traditionally observed as the last opportunity to indulge in richly flavorful foods before a season of fasting. Luckily for you, we have some seriously scrumptious dishes to offer.
Universal Orlando chefs have pulled out all the stops to bring the flavors of New Orleans’ French Quarter to our very own French Quarter Courtyard. From mouthwatering jambalaya to fluffy beignets and more, you’ll be able to enjoy all t he Cajun classics.
