It's a big day at Walt Disney World. Today, the last of the legacy FASTPASS machines will be turned off. All four theme parks will now exclusively offer FastPass+ for all guests. While in many consider this to be a big change, in my opinion, the difference is not huge and, for the most part, is an improvement.
No more lung-bursting sprints at rope drop to Everest or Toy Story Mania to secure that coveted FASTPASS. No more two hour wait to secure your next FASTPASS. No more criss crossing the parks to get those precious pieces of paper. And oh yeah – no more paper! Just a quick stop at a FastPass+ kiosk when you arrive at the park and you secure all of your FastPass+ times for the day. Better yet – if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, you can choose your FastPass+ times up to 60 days in advance! Your touring plan is set. Your MagicBands act as your FastPass+ and the My Disney Experience app on your smart phone can help you check your times and make changes throughout the day.
