Illuminations: Reflections of Earth celebrated a milestone last night, January 30, 2013. It turned 25 years old!
This nightly spectacular in Epcot can be seen from around the World Showcase and features fireworks, music, lasers, and lights to take you on the Earth's journey from creation through modern times.
Illuminations is my favorite show in all of Walt Disney World. The music is incredible and I can often be found singing along. I can ALWAYS be found crying.
I have a few favorite viewing spots. My personal favorite is from an Illuminations Dessert Party of course but that isn't always an option! (Sadly…) My second favorite Illuminations ritual is to get a Grey Goose Slushie from the cart in France, then grab a spot along the bridge between the France and UK pavilions. If that is too congested, I head over towards Italy.
Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is not to be missed. There is a reason it has been around this long, and hopefully will be for years to come!
