Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
This time last week I was having breakfast at Club 33 (thanks to some magic made by MEI-Travel!) followed by a tour of Walt's Apartment, thanks to Adventures by Disney. For many Disney fans, these places are high on their "bucket lists." This was my second time experiencing both and I am very aware of what a lucky girl I am!
The first time I went to Club 33 and Walt's Apartment, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't really take it all in. This time I made a concerted effort to enjoy and absorb my surroundings. I think it is due to this that I really began to understand how guests can feel Walt's presence in Disneyland. (My favorite part is the sandwich press used to make his favorite grilled cheese sandwiches!)
Unlike Walt Disney World, which Walt never lived to see, Disneyland is where Walt walked, worked, dreamed, and even in occasion, slept. Once you understand this, you begin to see his touch everywhere. The park feels far more personal and even sentimental than Walt Disney World.
