Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
Disney Cruise Line's private island, Castaway Cay, is the highlight of any Disney Cruise. This island offers a range of activities from the water playground at Pelican Plunge, to snorkeling in the lagoon, to swinging in a hammock on the white sand beach, drink in hand. (Guess which one I chose? 😉 )
There is something for everyone! Want to hang with the family and enjoy the water? Grab a spot on the Family Beach and enjoy all the offerings there. Exercise buff? Run the 5k complete with a Mickey medal at the end! Looking for a little alone time? Check the kids in to the children's programming at Scuttle's Cove and head to the adult only beach at Serenity Bay.
Hungry? Thirsty? Fear not! There are plenty of options! For dining options, check out Cookies BBQ and Cookie's Too. Drink stations are located at both as well. Looking for a frosty adult beverage? You can't go to far without encountering a bar or server happy to prepare you one of the island's signature drinks.
Float, tube and snorkel gear are all available for rental. Those who prefer to stay on land can rent bicycles to check out the island. Ever wanted to try Parasailing? It's available here! (Depending on weather!)
And Castaway Cay is home to my favorite shore excursion – the Sting Ray Meet at Castaway Ray's! At $35 per person, this is one of the best deals going. You get up close and personal with the Stingrays, getting to feed them and snorkel among them.
