I was lucky enough to get to sail on a preview cruise onboard the new Disney Fantasy. While the Fantasy is very much like her sister ship the Dream, there are some new additions. Since the Fantasy will be doing 7 night sailings it made sense to add some more things to do onboard. A fun addition that I am sure will be very popular, is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. During the week little princesses and princes can get a royal make over. The boutique is very similar to the ones in Disney World offering different packages that include a simple make-over to the whole shebang complete with wardrobe. Like the boutiques in Disney World the royal makeovers are just for the kids. There are some options that are exclusive to the Fantasy. You will be able to make appointments for the boutique online just like a spa appointment.
One day of the cruise pirates take over the boutique and guests young and old can make an appointment to join the ranks of pirate onboard. We of course couldn’t resist so we made appointments to get our pirate make over just before dinner. It definitely made pirate night more fun. Adults can only get the basic make over but Vicki really liked some of the dresses that kids can choose.
Your pirate makeover starts with a roll of the dice to determine your new pirate name. My new name was Kat Firecastle. Next you head to your chair where your make over begins. We chose the empress package which comes with a pink pirate bandana and eye patch. The makeover includes face makeup with a little bling and also includes your nails. You get to keep the nail polish and lip gloss. You also get the choice of a sword or hook along with a loot bag and sash. Of course a pirate makeover would not be complete without taking the pirate oath; of course it was more like guidelines anyway – ARRHHHH.
