Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
The Walt Disney World Resort announced some changes to the opertaing hours for Magic Kingdom and Epcot monorail service. Effective immediately for the Epcot monorail line and beginning August 1, 2011 for the Magic Kingdom monorail line, the monorails will only operate for one hour past the park's regular closing time. This does not include Extra Magic Hours. The monorails will no longer be operational during Extra Magic Hours. Guests will use bus or boat service to return to their resort or the Ticket & Transportation Center. Additional busses are being added to night-time service to help accomodate this change. Tis change will primarily affect guests staying in the Deluxe Resorts on the monorail line – Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Contemporary Resort and Bay Lake Towers.
