Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
It's going to be almost 100 degrees here in New England today. If it's going to be that darn hot, I'd rather be in Florida! But even if you are in Florida, you still need to find ways to help beat the heat. Here are a few more ways to keep cool.
Rule # 3: Air conditioning is your friend! There are many attractions all over Walt Disney World that are indoors in the one of the world's greatest invention – air conditioning. Take advantage of these in the heat of mid-day. My personal favorites are The Hall of President's in the Magic Kingdom, Universe of Energy at Epcot, It's Tough to be a Big in Animal Kingdom and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid at Hollywood Studios.
Rule # 4: Get wet! There are a variety of ways to get wet at Disney including water rides, splash areas, fountains, etc. You won't catch me on Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids in December, but in July? Heck yeah! Keeping a cold, damp washcloth in your room refrigerator and then packing it in a ziploc bag the next day is another great tip. Use it across the back of your neck or just to wipe down during the course of the day.
Rule # 5: Find First Aid. If you do get overheated or badly sunburnt, each park has a first aid center where help and relief can be found.
Be well and make magic wherever you go!
