Greetings fellow Mouse Fans!
I'm home after an amazing trip to Walt Disney World to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. It was absolutely incredible! It was a trip of firsts for me – first time at both the Grand Floridian and Pop Century, first time dining at the Wave, etc. Let's start with the lows so that we can end on a high note, shall we?
I've said it before, I'll say it again – I am just not a fan of the Value Resorts. Pop Century was sadly no exception. I spent my last post-conference night there. I was in Room 0164 and while it was clean, that's about all I can say for it. The bed was wildly uncomfortable, the towels threadbare compared to the plush towels at the Grand Floridian and the sound-proofing non-existant. The theming of the resort was charming and the Cast Members friendly for the most part but in fact when we arrived, there were four Cast Members with Hula Hoops in the arrival area. They never so much as looked up, never mind opened the taxi door or greeted us! They simply continued chatting with each other as though we didn't exist.
Don't worry – I have far more positive reviews tomorrow!
