Ok, so you know how to handle food allergies when dining at Walt Disney World. But what about snacks? Are Mickey Bars nut free? As always – read the label! While the Mickey Bars Disney currently serves are nut free I believe, Disney can and does change manufacturers which means that you need to be safe to avoid being sorry. Check, double check and when in doubt – ask! What kind of oil is this popcorn popped in? What are the ingredients in this cookie? You are your own best (or your child’s best) advocate.
One last word on allergies – whether you suffer from food allergies or any other allergy, if any of your allergies are "contact" (meaning you have a reaction just from touching the item), you can request a special cleaning of your resort room before you check in. This special or "Super" cleaning may mean that you have to wait a little longer for your room, but is worth it for those with truly severe allergies.
