The Walt Disney World family suffered a tragedy this past holiday weekend. Early in the morning on Sunday, July 5, 2009, the collision of two monorail trains took the life of monorail pilot Austin Wuennenberg, 21 and injured another man. This was the first fatal accident in the Walt Disney World monorail system’s history in Florida.No details regarding the cause of the crash are available at this time.
Our thoughts go out to the family of Austin Wuennenberg and all those affected by this event. Let it serve as a reminder to all of us that life is short. Live your dreams!
